Diet and Nutrition
Oral health is a huge part of our general health and a well-balanced nutritionally adequate diet is essential for oral and general health maintenance throughout life. While teeth develop with a strong and protective outer coating of enamel, they are not immune to disease and wear. Tooth decay is one of the most common diseases known to man and is responsible for untold pain, suffering, and tooth loss. Diet plays a major role in tooth development, dental caries (tooth decay), dental (acid) erosion, and even wear. What’s more, scientific evidence overwhelmingly proves that the same sugars that cause dental decay also contribute to obesity and metabolic syndrome which is the leading cause of death in the US and first world countries.
Meet Jeff Trupiano
I am Jeff Trupiano and I am a Certified Nutritional Consultant (CNC) associated with the Marciano Dental Group practice. I have 20+ years of experience in the natural health field. I employ Eastern and Western natural healing modalities to determine the best approaches to rebalance your body-mind systems. These techniques encourage health and self-healing through timeless, practical and enlightened preventative, protective, supportive and healing strategies. My extensive product knowledge has been curated throughout my two decades of work at a popular local health food store, as well as my personal healing experiences.
I will target the most effective supplements and practices for your specific needs and biochemical individuality. My ongoing interest in holistic healing knowledge has recently led me to explore energetic practices including genotype lifestyle recommendations based on epigenetics. Epigenetics studies the beneficial influences that you and your environment can have on your DNA. These factors include dietary, psychological and lifestyle choices in addition to other hereditary factors. I also hold an MA in Educational Technology. I am available for Naturopathic consultations at MDG and available for health talks at libraries, schools, community organizations and corporations. I look forward to meeting with you!
